Frequently Asked Questions
How do we book?
Contact us with the date of your day — online, by phone or by message. We will discuss your plans and photographic preferences, and can arrange to meet in person. To hire, complete the booking and your date is secured.
Is it important to meet before the wedding day?
Yes. A pre-wedding meeting lets us talk through everything on your mind, agree the photography style and answer all your questions — so there is no stress at all on the day.
Do you visit the venue beforehand?
Yes — we visit your venue up to a week before the wedding to choose the best shooting locations, plan for the light and prepare a backup plan in case of bad weather.
What happens in bad weather?
We are glad to keep shooting in the rain or snow if you are up for something extraordinary — and we always agree a spare indoor plan at the venue visit, just in case.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Always. We carry a full range of backup equipment on every shoot, for your peace of mind and ours.
What if the photographer falls ill on the day?
In the unlikely event the photographer cannot attend due to illness or emergency, we make every reasonable effort to provide a suitably experienced replacement of a similar standard — and if we cannot, you receive a full refund. See our Terms & Conditions.
Do you provide a written agreement?
Yes. A written agreement with our terms and conditions sets out our commitments and the agreed price in writing.
Is a second photographer worth it?
We honestly recommend it. One photographer cannot be in two places at once — a second photographer means more angles, more creativity and more captured emotion. Ask us when you enquire.
Are there travel costs?
Travel is included for weddings within 50 miles of London — no extra fees. Weddings and destination weddings further away cost extra, and overnight accommodation may be required.
What does basic retouching mean?
Colour correction, overall sharpness, brightness and removal of small skin blemishes — applied individually to your photographs. Black & white, sepia and other treatments are available on request.
How and when do we see our photographs?
Within about two weeks you receive a link to a private online gallery with the fully edited proofs of your wedding. You choose your favourites, we design the album around them, and once you are happy with the design we deliver your album.
Who owns the copyright?
Copyright belongs to the photographer from the moment a photograph is taken, as is standard in the UK. All your edited high-resolution images are included with a full personal-use licence — print, share and enjoy them freely.
Can our guests take their own pictures?
Absolutely — it is a joyful day for friends and family, and they are welcome to take their own shots as long as they do not stand in the way of the important ones.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as your date is confirmed. Popular dates — summer weekends and holidays — go quickly, and booking early secures your day.

“Thank you for capturing our day so well, all the photos are fantastic but we love the natural ones you got of the ceremony and also of our daughter with all the flowers. Thank you!”
Hannah Reynolds · 17 Jun 2017
“Thank you so much for everything you did on our wedding day. Thank you for your professionalism throughout and for being completely understanding of everything we wanted. The natural photos throughout really are beautiful. You were friendly and put us at ease — even for two people who generally avoid photographs, you made us feel really comfortable and didn’t keep us too long away from our guests. It was perfect, thanks again.”
